If you don't know about this then I don't know about you.  LOL

I've wanted to do my nails for days, but I was not inspired.  FINALLY, I had a good idea!  😃  I haven't had a whole lot of time to devote to nails lately, but I made time tonight.

I'm super excited about the new Star Trek movie.  I was really hoping to make the midnight showing later today, but I haven't found anyone to watch Shadow (yeah, lol, watch him sleep!) not to mention that I have to wake up stupidly early for his awards ceremony so it's very likely I would struggle to stay awake if I went.  Also, with the yard work me and Shaun did this weekend it's got his allergies all stirred up so he hasn't been sleeping well.  I guess that's what happens when you get all old and stuff.  😕

For the record I'd still give staying awake a shot if anyone wants to come and watch Netflix or whatever while my kid sleeps.  Just putting that out there!

Anyway, I made a few copies of the decal that is on my thumb, if anyone wants a few.    The rest of the work was taping, which wasn't hard.  I am crazy excited about these nails.  Because I am a dork.  😃

What do you do when...

What do you do when you don't ACTUALLY have time to fancy your nails?  Slap some decals on there, duh!

These are little owl decals I made.  I did NOT design them - just liked the images I found online and used them.  The pinky didn't go on as nicely, but it doesn't look bad in real life.  How nice of the macro setting to catch every imperfection.  😛

I don't expect these nails to get a whole lot of likes...

I don't expect these nails to get a whole lot of likes, for two reasons: 1) They are not super-creative or fancy, and 2) That is an Atheist "A." I really like the polish, though. It was a super-cheap Wet 'N' Wild, I think, and the color goes from the purple-y you see here to gray to green. So it was totally pretty. I'm thinking about picking up another bottle as back-up because I like it so much. 🙂

Btw, what do you guys think about my gnarly cuticle? Cat (from work) was feeling rather feisty on Tuesday and wouldn't get off my desk without a fight. Crazy thing. 😂😂😂

7:47 pm:  Printing Shaun's decals for tomorrow and getting ready to do my nails also.  😃  Found out the hard way today why you shouldn't eat when your mouth is numb.  You might not feel it if you bite yourself then, but you will feel it later!  🙁

I do believe this is the first time I've ever worn a red polish.  I have to admit it makes me feel pretty fierce!  If anyone else wants decals I can make you a set.  $3 for 20?  I suck at selling things, but if I want to keep making them I at least need to re-coup my costs on materials.  Inbox me and let me know.  I can mail you some first thing Monday!  🙂

I haven't posted my nails the last couple of days

I haven't posted my nails the last couple of days so here you go.  This silver was a color-changing polish I got on clearance at Claire's.  It's supposed to all go darker with a temperature change, but in general mine just looked darker on the tips which is fine by me.  Gradient without the work!  🙂  I just put a little dragon on there because I liked him and thought he'd look nice on the silver.

It's been a while.

It's been a while.  I haven't stopped doing my nails, but due to my topcoat crapping out and shrinking / wrinkling most of my recent attempts at anything fancy I've spent a lot of time being frustrated and not really proud to wear anything I've done.  So I've gone through a few new topcoats and this one is doing ok, but doesn't perform like my beloved Seche Vite used to.

Anyway, this is a little Gir (from Invader Zim) decal I made.  These decals make it too easy to look like I've done something that requires skill.  😂  I'm not complaining, though.  Also, I finally found a basic white that isn't a beast to put on.  Milani has a new spring line and this is one of their new colors.  Goes on like any other polish!  🙂  You can get it Wal-Mart in Lenlock.  Not Jacksonville or Talladega, though.

Another decal I made.  I saw these on a French blog and REALLY had to talk myself out of ordering them.  Yet another reason I wanted to be able to make my own stuffs.  🙂  Now I can have as many mustaches as I want!  😃😃😃

This is the first time I've used one of my water decals.

This is the first time I've used one of my water decals.  They are not the same as nails tattoos.  Actually, for me they were MUCH easier because you can move it around after you put it on, unlike with a tattoo.  With a tattoo, if you're off, you're just off - no adjusting those.  Btw, I think my nails look black in the photo, but they are just a REALLY dark green.  REALLY REALLY dark.  But the feather is also a very dark green so I thought it kind of worked together.  Just one bright nail this time.  🙂
