My bottle of Cyber Punk is here...

My bottle of Cyber Punk is here and she's gorgeous. 😍😍😍

I've been waiting since January for her arrival. WORTH IT.

If you can't tell what color she is, that's ok. She's every color. More than a holographic, more than a multichrome. I love her so much that I want to tape the bottle to my chest and wear her that way. 😂😂😂

I know that I've been so involved with school, but I've kept an eye on my second love, nail polish. Polish is easier than animals because once they get here they don't require upkeep. 😂

Here is a blog post so you can see swatches since I'm not quite ready to use mine yet:  http://www.lacqueredmama.com/.../vapid-lacquer-cyber-punk...

OPI Black Spotted.

OPI Black Spotted.

If those words caught your eye then read on.

I spent more money than I am going to admit here in public having that thing mailed to me from France since it wasn't available in the U.S. when it came out.

Shaun found a $2 polish in Wal-Mart the other day that has the same effect.  It's by Fing'rs.  It is called "See Spot Run." It's only available in black right now, but maybe they'll make more colors.  A girl can hope.

So... yeah.  Patience might have saved me some money, but who needs money when you can have nail polish instead?  (I'm just kidding, of course.  I need money.)

I got a SHITLOAD of nail polish today.

I got a SHITLOAD of nail polish today.  Not only did my Nail Mail from Ashton arrive, but Sally's was having a half off of their clearance prices sale, PLUS, I had a $5 off and 15% off coupon, so yeah.

Ashton sent me a pack of polish that I asked her to grab for me, but then she included a bunch of surprise polish - all of which are Juleps (they don't sell them anywhere I go!), so of course I didn't already have them.  Yay for that!  SUPER THANK YOU.  You totally made my day!  😃

Then at Sally's like I said - sale and coupons.  Good combo.  😃  I spent $26 and I got 20 polishes (including the whole FingerPaints Kaleidoscope Collection), plus a cuticle oil that smelled nice and two pairs of tweezers.

So... before you all start thinking that I'm INSANE for buying that much nail polish I will go ahead and confess something:

I am using it.  Besides for just painting my own nails.  😃

I am pretty shy about saying this kind of stuff, but I have a Polish ALL The Things! booth at the Fair on the Square in Jacksonville tomorrow.  I am going to be doing simple stamping nail art for $10 (kind of like face painting, but it'll last longer), and handing out business cards so maybe that will get me some business doing kid parties.  For real, screw salons - kid parties sound like so much fun to me.  😃

NOT ONLY THAT, but I have printed some nail tattoos that I will sell.  I can do custom nail tattoos and decals easy enough.  AND, this is the crazy part... I am making nail art jewelry.  😳  Most of my supplies didn't come in until today (super suck!), but that just means I have to get off the Internet and get started.  I have some stones painted already, but they are so large I have nothing to set them in.  They are a great size for necklaces, though.  If things go over well tomorrow I will buy more parts and do necklaces and maybe REALLY make some stuff and try to do OxfordFest.  I don't know.  I don't want to get ahead of myself.  But my plan for tonight is to do earrings and rings.

I wasn't going to post photos of my large "practice stones" but here they are as I imagine that most people won't have a clue what I meant when I said "nail art jewelry."  I have a few with stamping that I haven't photographed yet.  And some holographic stones.  Those will be beautiful in the sunlight tomorrow.  🙂

Went to Sally's today to check out the new China Glaze Crinkle Chromes...

Went to Sally's today to check out the new China Glaze Crinkle Chromes. While the idea was neat I was not impressed with the product. It is basically metallic polish with the fuzz coat and texture polish bits mixed in. If you have either of those kinds of polishes plus a favorite metallic you could easily get that look by layering your polishes - without needing to buy anything else.

I tried the lavender one out on my thumb. I'm not a huge fan of the way it looks, either. I don't think I'll be buying any of those.

As backwards as it sounds I love it when polish collections fail to wow me. It just means I won't be lusting after them or spending my money. I feel like I've won. 😂

Went to Sally's for the first time in ages.

Went to Sally's for the first time in ages. Wasn't a lot of stuff in there that was impressive to me. 🙁 I saw the China Glaze Hologlam collection and I gotta say - I'm glad I didn't drop the cash on that. I'd planned to buy the entire collection online when it first came out, but I had a lot of other stuff I needed to spend my money on so I was responsible and just didn't. Thank goodness because I would have been EXTREMELY disappointed. $9 per bottle for a supposed holographic polish. Psh. It does have a faint holo thing going on, but not $9 worth.

Not that this will happen anytime in the near future, but when I DO have the spare cash to purchase a holographic polish I'll spend $15 and get something that really knocks my eyes out. If I'm gonna spend that much on a polish it's gonna have to be worth it!

So anyway, I came out of there with a few clearance polishes. I haven't bought anything for myself in a while so I don't feel too bad about it. Got one bottle of something I already have and love (gotta have a back-up of that one - it's a green that you don't see too often!) and some other cheapies that I have nothing like.

Unfortunately, I've already wrecked my Star Trek nails so I'm gonna have to take them off and do something else now. Maybe after I get some things moved around and some cleaning done... 🙂

So the Anniston Wal-Mart...

So the Anniston Wal-Mart is re-vamping their cosmetics isle.  HOW EXCITING!  They are expanding their polish area and it's all very nice and well-lit with LED's.  😃😃😃

Also, they now carry dog nail polish.  😃

Also, I discovered a Riteway Beauty Supply near my house last week.  It was closed when I stopped last weekend, but it was open today.  They have some OLD ASS goodies in there.  Very exciting!  😃

For anyone who's interested in nail polish:

For anyone who's interested in nail polish:  Walgreen's has some cool new stuff.  They have these cake-pop looking bottles of pretty colors with sparse glitters (I used one in my last photo of nails), and also the new textured Milani's.  Wal-Mart also has new Hard Candy polishes.  They are so pretty that I WANT THEM IN MY MOUTH!!!  😳  I noticed that they have picked up a few new brands like that Salon whatever it is and a couple of others that I can't remember, but that drug stores usually have.  ALSO, K-Mart is closing in two weeks so all of their stuff is 50 - 80% off right now - including the polish.  And finally, I scoped out what Publix has.  Nothing that any other place doesn't already have, but their OPI's are cheaper.  🙂

HOLY SHIT.

HOLY SHIT. I am ashamed to admit how much money I've spent on nail polish today. To most people it's probably nothing, but that is not my usual. HOWEVER, Sally's is clearancing an ass-ton of pretty polish, so what is a girl to do? And they weren't all for me so I feel a little better about that. 😀 Oh Janet - send me your mailing address, homie! I can't wait for you to have these! 💜💜💜
